Some advice needed, about books and 1st practice test. [#permalink]

First of all some background, I live in Sri Lanka where there are virtually no books for GMAT found. During my last trip to Pakistan, I managed to find the Princeton Review 2012 edition. Now I cant afford to order any of the good ones (MGMAT or Kaplan) or enroll in any courses. What do you guys reccomend I do? PR is not enough for the score I would like to target right? (650-700) Also, I have only studied two days and finished the Quant section of the book, how long do you think before I should take my first practice CAT?

I strongly reccomend the MGMAT series of books. You can find all 8 on Amazon for $100 US. That is less than half the cost of the test itself.

That is less than half the cost of the test itself. thx for the tip. actually the amazon price might be managable but i've heard you need quiet a bit of time to invest into mgmat. we're past early june now and i would like to start applying R1 to business schools, which means at the latest i should have taken my gmat by mid-late august. is that enough time to invest in the mgmat books?

i think you can order through flipkart or amazon and they will ship to SL.

I would second flipkart. Donno about shipping to SL though but you can always email/phone them. So far, I've bought all my books from them including MGMAT Guides, OG 13, MGMAT laminated pad and Power Score CR
