Some good cooks are gourmet cooks who pride themselves on always using extravagantly rich ingredients in elaborate recipes. Some good cooks can be characterized as fast-food cooks. They may use rich ingredients as long as the recipes are easy to follow and take little time. Other good cooks are health food enthusiasts, who are concerned primarily with the nutritional value of food. But even though not all good cooks are big eaters, they all enjoy preparing and serving food.
If the information in the passage is true, which one of the following CANNOT be true?
(A) Most good cooks do not use extravagantly rich ingredients.
(B) Everyone who enjoys preparing and serving food is a good cook.
(C) More good cooks who use extravagantly rich ingredients are big eaters than are good cooks who do not use such ingredients.
(D) There are fewer good cooks who enjoy serving and preparing food than there are good cooks who are big eaters.
(E) Gourmet cooks, fast-food cooks, and cooks who are health food enthusiasts are all big eaters.

Explanation pls

This is tricky - I'd go for E as well.

If the information in the passage is true, which one of the following CANNOT be true?
(A) Most good cooks do not use extravagantly rich ingredients.Incorrect. This can be true. Nothing about the distribution of cooks in the 3 categories is indicated above
(B) Everyone who enjoys preparing and serving food is a good cook. Incorrect. This is true, from the last sentence
(C) More good cooks who use extravagantly rich ingredients are big eaters than are good cooks who do not use such ingredients. Incorrect. This can be true
(D) There are fewer good cooks who enjoy serving and preparing food than there are good cooks who are big eaters. Correct answer. Number of good cooks who enjoy serving and preparing food >= Number of good cooks are big eaters
(E) Gourmet cooks, fast-food cooks, and cooks who are health food enthusiasts are all big eaters. The last line indicates that there may be cooks outside these 3 categories that are not big eaters. It is possible to have cooks in the 3 categories described above (gourmet, fast-food and health food enthusiasts) who are all big eaters.

Explanation pls

Explanation embedded. I think it should be (D). What's the OA?

D it seems...but I am completely confused :?

Perspective: What do you guys think is the difficulty level and representativeness of such questions from the GMAT perspective? None of the official books or MGMAT books have anything so unclear...and confounding

If the information in the passage is true, which one of the following CANNOT be true?

(D) There are fewer good cooks who enjoy serving and preparing food than there are good cooks who are big eaters. - the best. all good cooks enjoy preparing and serving food but not all are big eaters.
(E) Gourmet cooks, fast-food cooks, and cooks who are health food enthusiasts are all big eaters. - It is possible because set of good cooks could include other categories.

D. I guessed incorrectly at first, but D makes perfect sense. which CANNOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be True!

I somehow forgot what the question wanted when I crossed over D. All good cooks enjoy serving and preparing so there can't be fewer good cooks with these qualities than big eaters!
