I go with A.
C, D and E are out off the bat because in this context we need 'demonstrating' after a comma. B is out because it sounds incorrect to say that 'buildings have maintenance'.

Please post your answer if you can explain why each choice is right or wrong or POE. Thanks A is the answer. In A standing and demonstrating are parallel. in B they has ambiguous antecedent. In D and E demonstrate is not parallel with standing and they has ambiguous antecedent.
