I'm not sure If someone who wants to get a job in a Sport Management industry should take a MBA (although you intend to work with sports marketing), thus I suggest you to search and think about a specific Sports Management Course (which don`t request GMAT :-D ).

Good look !

I have two friends who work at the NBA - one from Sloan and one from HBS. The Sloan guy does strategy, the HBS guy does business development for the European league and also helps the commissioners office with labor/salary related stuff. The jobs are few and far between, the HBS guy worked for the NBA prior to school (was hired from McK because they were a client) and got promoted thereafter.

I'm not sure exactly what roles "Sports Management" encompasses. I have friends who are going to work with pro teams (Cubs/Brewers) or leagues (NBA/NHL) in strategy, biz dev, marketing, and ops. If you're talking about agents, I think many of those guys/gals are JD's. Or they just slaved away in the mail room until they got on a desk at WMA or one of the others.
