Tried squareroot did not work, hence testing again

\sqrt{3}

\sqrt[3]{ax^2 + bx +c + \frac{3}{\sqrt{7}}}

\pi r^2

how do I get the pi symbol

Dear bb

As you can see , square root is not working , \sqrt{3}

I have wrapped 3 completely with the code still the symbol did not appear , am i doing something wrong , also please tell me how do I get the pi symbol
