Folks,
I am planning to take this course from Stanford
Stanford Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate
Purely for learning.
Just curious if it would help me professionally, does the cert have any value in job market?
I think it shows you nicely on paper. Always helps to have a Stanford name and I think you would get some value from networking there, but I know nothing about this program, and I doubt many will see it much more than a confirmation of your pursuit. Then again, who would be hiring someone who is taking entrepreneurship classes? Isn't that about starting your own business? I am just wondering how you will explain the reason for taking the course?
It may be much better to take something that is job-related and something your future employer would see as applicable to your daily and strategic tasks. (e.g. course on negotiations, project management, or public speaking even)
Good luck!
