surprised it's almost 9pm on the west coast and so few accepted bay area notifications on here...

I didn't get an interview invitation, so my best wish is to get WL without interview.
But the status is still under review process.

Anyone sees the status changed yet?

I'm in the same boat as you - clinging to some last bit of hope. My status is still the same.

I'm in the same boat too. I wonder what % of R2 applicants will be waitlisted realistically...

My status changed to submitted, but I still see the list of recommenders. Not sure what that means.

so are people who have not received calls effectively rejected, or will any calls be made today?

We'll find out in a few hours. I believe anyone who knows the answer to that question will not be posting the answer here.
Let's keep our hopes up comrades in the field.

I'm hoping to get waitlist with interview. Is that common?

Waitlisted after interview :(

Not entirely surprising, still quite disappointing. I'm applying for deferred admission as a college senior (HYP, solid stats, East Asian national) with a liberal arts background, so I'm not a traditional case to say the least. If anyone has any advice to give me, please send me a message? I will be indebted to you forever!!

I've been lurking here forever and the community has been quite a source of mental support so thank you guys!

Waitlist!

Best I was hoping for at this point... Unfortunate to learn that they won't make decisions until May 15th, though. Fingers are still tightly crossed for Booth here (and I could find out about the Kellogg waitlist sooner, too), so if I get in somewhere else, I'll have to decide if it's worth holding onto the possibility of ditching all my plans and my deposit. Sigh, no easy answers.
