Stanford GSB - Reapply?

I am currently a college senior. I was admitted to the HBS 2+2 Program this year. I also applied to Stanford GSB's deferred program R2, but was dinged. GSB was my first-choice. I am looking to be in the b-school the class of 2015.
Profile: HYPMS Undergrad, summa cum laude , 770+ GMAT, Computer Science, starting west coast tech job next year.
It could be just a case of "the grass always looks greener on the other side", but I really feel like the opportunities for me would be better for me out of Stanford. A couple of mentors have told me that it holds more respect in the valley because of the small class size, and is certainly more inline with the industries I am pursuing. I will be working in the valley next year, and I am planning to stay in high tech space post-MBA. (venture capital or possibly product manager positions in high-tech).
Should I reapply to GSB in 2 years or just count my blessings? It's obviously a lot of work to rewrite the essays and endure the stress once again, and still does not mean I will have any better luck the 2nd time. Is the 'clout' that surrounds Stanford GSB significant enough to go through the effort? Are exit ops in VC significantly better from Stanford GSB? Are exit ops for PM positions at hot start-ups (facebook, etc) significantly better out of Stanford GSB?
