Stanford's "Last three years" prompt [#permalink] New post 22 Aug 2012, 17:36
Hi! How strict is the "last three years prompt" of Stanford? My experience actually happened in the last 3.5 years. Is this not acceptable? (I know, silly question.)

I will be submitting my app in October 2012 for R1. The challenge came in March 2009, but I rose above the challenge around June-Nov 2009, and I experienced the results by the end of 2009. Is this acceptable for "last three years"?

Thanks!

Hi!

Not a silly question at all :) This is actually a tough call. Stanford is pretty strict regarding the last 3 years requirement, but I think that 2009 is fair game, especially since the climax of the event happened within the 3 year time period. I unfortunately don't have a definitive answer for you, and you'll really have to use your judgment, but I think you'd be safe with this story you have in mind.

Regards,
Mili
