Strange situation. Maybe interview? [#permalink] New post 01 Mar 2006, 11:08
Hi guys...I have a problem here.

One guy invited me to meet him in a hotel he lived. He said that he found my address in one of the MBA preparation web-sites, and wanted to open a new business in my country. And needed young English speaking people like me. But I am not sure. I haven't written my meail address in any site, and how would he find it even if I wrote. My meeting will be tomorrow. I am afraid that this could be a hidden interview by alumnus(Harvard I think). What do you think? Are such interviews( I mean without saying that they will interview you) held by Harvard or MIT?
Please, help. It is urgent
Best,
Wolf

That's Crazy. [#permalink] New post 01 Mar 2006, 19:34
Admissions interviews should be scheduled well in advance and relatively formal. This is free-wheeling and definitely not part of the interview process. If you are still worried, tell him that you can't meet because you need to prepare for your B-school interview. Or, tell him that he's freaking you out.

No real b-school would conduct an interview like this. This does not sound like a legitimate interview at all. If I were you, I wouldn't go!
