Hi!
Been lurking for a few months now, started studying around May. Have been using
Magoosh for quant and powerscore for cr. Arts background (philosophy), native english, Canada.
I'm performing much better on CR after going through the bible, my quant skills are getting better as well for a non math background! I'm breaking into the q44 to q46 range. I'm perfectly content with that. I do not need a 750, and don't expect to be getting q47+ necessarily.
I am however looking to break 700. My cr skills are solid, my rc skills are also not too bad, will get better when I start to read a little bit more (NYT and economist on the way), but my sc skills could use some work.
My test isn't for another month or so. Booked for end of September but may stretch that until mid/end of October.
I need to attack SC in such a way as to not glaze over reading about what I studied in elementary school, but at the same time learn what I need to so that I can rely on my ear and fundamentals at the same time. I find relying on my ear alone results in far too many simple mistakes and uncertainty.
I have
Magoosh at my disposal, and am willing to purchase the
MGMAT guide and focus on primarily parallism, verb tenses and pronoun errors.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
