If Mod(X) = Mod(Y)

Than , what is the simpler form of the equation of the above mod equation.

need help!!!!

Simply
x=y and x=-y
Other solutions come down to these equations too. Hope it helps.

Responding to a pm:

|x| = |y|
You know that to remove the mod, we consider positive and negative regions separately. You need to consider the positive and negative regions for both mods.

If x>0, y>0, x = y
If x > 0, y<0, x = -y
If x < 0, y > 0, -x = y
If x<0, y<0, -x = -y

It is represented by 2 lines passing through the center.
