Hi all,

After wasting a lot of time going through MGMAT for hours and hours and hours on end I felt I haven't learnt a lot... I realised my study habits are really crap for maths and I haven't been studying effectively, so I looked up 'effective math studying' on Google and came across this link, I hope it helps!:

Do you have a error log to track your progress and to prepare a plan based out of it? I had also got the MGMAT books and by going through them I had a great deal of learning.

I found that the MGMAT study guides gave me a framework through which to solve problems easier. It's been especially useful on Distance and Work rate problems. I simply set up a table and fill in the numbers from the question stem. It makes questions that initially seemed insurmountable very straightforward.
I also recommend error logs. It'll help you see what areas you continue to struggle in and will focus your studies.

Thanks for posting. I personally found the Kaplan GMAT premier to be a nice brush up on skills. It is much lighter than MGMAT and helps you quickly identify areas of strength or weakness.
