I'd say that generally speaking, 1Y programs are not meant for career switchers (including Columbia's J-Term). They are more geared towards execs, entrepreneurs, or those returning to the same career path.

In the US Cornell, Kellogg, Columbia (J-term).

Europe has many more the best of which would is Insead
