When I asked my direct supervisor for a rec letter, he eagerly enlisted the help of our CEO, a HBS alum, to write me a supplemental letter (3rd) to the school. My understanding is that my CEO has been pretty involved with the school in the past, and is willing to help as well.
HBS writes on their apps page that they do not want any supplemental data outside what's requested. Would having my CEO send the letter actually hurt my application? What would you guys recommend or do?
