Taking GMAT second time, any advice? [#permalink] New post 31 Aug 2005, 12:36
I took the Gmat a week ago and got a 660 (37Q, 41V). As you can see, I really just need to improve my quant score. I'm aiming for at least a 42 when I take the test again in a month and a half.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've exhasted 10th OG and don't feel like the 11th guide will be of much help. Am I wrong?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thx

edsilver,
You need to strengthen advance math concepts such as probability, permutation, and combinations. Without being comfortable with these three topics, I found it hard to excell on the Q. section of GMAT.
You can be active in the advance GMAT section of this site. Make sure you know the basics of the above topics before tackling the advance concepts.

I'm studying now and I find the Kaplan math questions tougher than the ones in the OG. Maybe study from Kaplan?

Thanks guys. Coffeeloverfreak, Kapalan is for sure harder than the quesitons on the real GMAT (not to mention OG). I'm going to review that CD-ROM again (I did so first time around, too).

thx
