targetting 40 plus in verbal,

hello i am looking for a good score in verbal..
i am pretty confident that i will be able to follow some important things and even perceive improvement..
can any body tell me how many mistakes can be made out of 41 verbal question to get 40 or above in verbal

i mean to say irrespective of what mock exam how many mistakes can be made..

It really depends on the difficulty of the questions that you get wrong (if you get easier questions wrong, your score will be lower), but I would say, from my experience, about seven or fewer mistakes would get you a verbal score of 40+.

The test is adaptive, so even if you keep only 10 mistakes, you can score a V41 or a V33.

But to answer your question, when I got a V41 in my GMATprep, I had 9 mistakes out of 41.

When I got a V38, I had 11 mistakes.
