Two years ago I relocated to a different part of the country for personal reasons. I moved and found a temporary position while I searched for something permanent. I was in this temporary position for six months before taking a permanent position more suited to my career goals. What is the best way to present this temporary position on my resume and in my application? I worked for the company but was paid by a staffing agency. Should I list the company that I worked for on my resume or should I list the agency's name and indicate that I worked for the company within the bullet points?

I've seen it as: Agency, on behalf of (for) Company. I know some people try to pass it off as just Company, but people will figure it out anyways. I'd rather be upfront about it than have it reflect negatively later on
