Since I'm an English/Russian teacher, I used my two supervisors and one student.

Even I received an interview invite yesterday on Oct 10th. I applied on September 17th. Scheduled the on campus interview for November 14th. I know the date is too far but there were no other dates available! Pretty nervous and excited about it . Any tips for the interview are welcome. Cheers, indiegal

Just finished the skype interview with Wendy Flynn. First, you walk through your resume, then post-MBA goals, then we talked about my particular weaknesses (lack of quant in undergrad and broad career goals). I would say if you have these problems, address them before the interview. Otherwise, the interviewer was nice and it was very laid back.

Just had my interview with Kelli Kilpatrick, who is the Director of the Full-Time MBA Program. It was interesting, but I think I did well.
First we went into my background which is non-traditional, she wanted me to cover some of the weaknesses in my application. Spent quite a bit of time on my work experience, then we transitioned into the why A&M and why MBA. I was also able to ask a number of questions at the end of the interview.

I hope I hear back soon, A&M is my number 1 choice. Deadline for other schools I'm looking at is Nov 1st, think we will hear anything by then?

Congrats on your interview. Hope you get in. Wendy Flynn told me I would hear by the end of the week. Did they give you a time frame?

I did not ask but I should have. Kicking myself for not asking, would it be bad form to follow up and ask that?

I wouldn't worry about it. She said they would try to get a decision out before Nov. 1st. I'll let you know if they stick to what they told me whether I get in or not.

Got the ding last week. In retrospect, it was the interview that got me (I was put on the defensive the whole time), but I have learned from it. C'est la vie. Moving on and up. Lesson for the future is to have clearly defined goals, because that's what they want to hear.

Can you please elaborate on what issues they may have had with the broadness of the goals you discussed with them? You don't have to share specifics of your goals personally, I would just like to gauge if my current goals are specific enough for my apps. Thanks.

I'd be glad to. You don't have to be sorry. I'm not. I learned what not to do in the future. It's simple, really. I had the industry in mind that I wanted to join, but I didn't have the position and how I aimed to get it. In the end, you have to make sure that your background and your reasons for applying are clear and that they fit your career goals. I've got that all sorted out now, so I'm thankful that I had the opportunity to have a "practice" interview. At least I know my written app wasn't the problem; it was just the oral presentation of it. Be prepared to elaborate with specific examples. The other problem for me was that A&M is an accelerated program, so there's no time to find yourself, so to speak, as there is in longer programs. In any case, I'm looking forward to the rest of the process.

I had my interview on campus on Nov 14th. It was pretty straight forward. I met with the GBCS representatives, attended a class and then had the interview after a quick lunch with the students.
My interviewer was Kassidy Green. She just asked me to walk through my resume and asked questions about my work visa and questioned my place-ability after graduation.
Well, I am hopeful and was told that I will have a decision by end of this week.
