Hello,
I was hoping I would be able to get a
profile review based on the following information:
I'm a 25 y.o. Caucasian male veteran seeking late round admission into 3 major programs in Texas (Jones, McCombs, and Mays, in order of preference). The reason for the late submission was a deployment which precluded me from taking the GMAT until just under a month ago. I scored 730 on the GMAT, with Q48, V41, IR 7, and AWA 6/6. My undergraduate degree is a BS Nuclear Engineering Technology from a lesser known, but fully accredited, online university. I consider my recommendation letters to be very strong as they are from Navy commanders who have seen my work directly.
W.E. is as follows:
-Graduated #2/300 in Nuclear Power School (3.94 GPA)
-Led teams ranging in size from 3-30 in the maintenance and operation of two nuclear reactors onboard an aircraft carrier
-Revitalized a poorly managed health physics program
-Managed some of the most sensitive programs (radioactive material, sources, and dosimetry) in the nuclear power industry
-Provided informative presentations to very high ranking officers (Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral in charge of Naval Nuclear Power, etc.)
Volunteer experience as follows:
-Provided personal financial counseling to junior members of my division as the divisional financial specialist
-Coordinated fundraising efforts within the division for the annual Combined Federal Campaign
-VITA personal income tax counselor in division 2012
-Served in North Charleston, SC during the Day of Caring 2008-2009
I like to think that I interview well, so that should not end up being too much of a factor (at least in a negative way). Additionally, I put a lot of thought into my admission essays, and I believe they were pretty well written.
Thanks for the review!
