I think this a case of parallelism.
That X is... than that Y is
Thus the answer is E

I vote for (E), too.
Aside from ||ism, only (E) makes sense.

(A) her being a woman --> awkward
(B) being a woman is --> awkward
(C) her womanhood --> just doesn't sound right
(D) that she was a woman --> suggest she's not a woman today
(E) that she is a woman
E is best. The rest are just plain bad.

Got E as well. That in D and E maintain the parallelism. Moreover, was suggests that now she is not a woman. Thus D out.
E remains

E should be correct. the above reasoning is ideal.

I would have gone with E for parallelism.
Can anyone explain the use of "being" When is it correct to use?
Thx!

I would have said D just for the sake of parallism. I suppose your guys have your reasons why E is correct.

D changes the meaning that she used to be a woman and now she is not a woman but she is always woman.
