691. The aristocratic values expressed in the writings of Marguerite Yourcenar place her within the French classical tradition, as does her passionate interest in history, particularly Roman history.
(A) as does
(B) so do
(C) as do
(D) so is the case with
(E) similarly, does

i can discard B and C as her passion is singular ,what else can help to either choose the right answer or eliminate wrong ones.

IMO A.
On the basis of singular object , her passionate interest in history , we can eliminate B and C. C is wordy and unidiomatic. Now its between A and E - I think we we include similarly in the sentence it needs to repeat the subject verb object format again, which is not the case here.
I would go with A , however, I can not provide a distinct reason to eliminate E.

I'd say A, even though E may be correct as well.

i am going with the option A. passionate interest is action noun here and it is singular
