The average weight of a class of 44 students is 36kgs. If the weight of the teacher is included, then the average weight of the class increases by 1kg. What is the weight of the teacher?

A. 37kgs
B. 81kgs
C. 73kgs
D. 63kgs
E. 45kgs

Total weight of 44 students = 1584kg

If the ave weight increases by 1kg, it becomes 37kg
Total weight of 44 students and 1 teacher = 37*45 = 1665

So weight of teacher = 81kg

Yes, I have B as answer too.

44*36 + 1*x / 45 = 37
1584 + x / 45 = 37

45*37 = 1665

1665 - 1584 = 81 kilograms.
