I selected C too, but went bact to B (best among the worst).

My reasoning:
How can payments be "they"? It has to be "those".

C it is with correct pronoun reference:
it -- bank
they -- payments

Paul, I thought "they" ae for living beings and "those" are for objects.
Still, I am doubtfull, since per bartleby.com, "those" is not listed as a pronoun.

"they" can also refer to objects just as much as "whose" can apply to inanimate things. Although it is not very common, it is not grammatically wrong.
Ex: Those pens I lent you, I ask that they be returned to me right now.

got confused between C and E. E is passive so went for C.
