Key thing here is to identify the groups of people choices A and C are referring to. A talks about "men and women" who are referred as adults whereas C talks about people (adults or juveniles) in general.

And choice A straight away contradicts the premise given in the argument and would not help solve the discrepancy.

Can someone please explain why E is incorret here?

I understood that the sale of beer increased but how does E explain that the # of adults drinking beer decreased.

Also, can someone elaborate on why C is incorrect because C says that the # of non-drinkers who started drinking is more than the # of drinkers who quit drinking.

Answer "E" basically says that more is exported meaning that if more of the produced beer was exported then the consumption of beer in the US declined and that weakens the argument.
