To show the proper traits of the backpack, "comma" is necessary. "it" has no referrent in C. "being" is incorrect because its not a temporary action ; backpacks are light and well designed.

There must be a reason why "being" should be eliminated. Eliminating it just after seeing is wrong approach.

"it" has no referent in C.

Doesn't "It" clearly refer to "a backpack" ?

According to me this one stands out only on contrast grounds so we dump "and" and pick up "yet".

Please correct me if i am wrong.

fair question indeed.
Break the sentence into the two traits.
1)The company claimed to have created a backpack so capacious that it could simultaneously hold for textbooks, a laptop computer, and necessary school supplies.

2)The company claimed to have created a backpack it was so light. Did you notice the error?
Although "it" refers backpack ,the construction becomes illogical as seen just now.

And BTW you were not wrong.
Thanks for correcting me. The first question in morning at around 8.30 is not going good for me.

I don't think a is incorrect. Not sure that there is a definitive need for contrast. The backpack was so capacious and the backpack was so light

Allow me to justify why yet(contrast) is required
Capacious suggests that the bag has a lot of space and presumably big. So, automatically it can be assumed that the big spacious bag is heavy. This contrast clarifies that so spacious bla bla yet so light bla bla
option A is gramatically correct but E is just sightly inclined
