The computer software being designed for a project studying Native American access to higher education will not only meet the needs of that study, but also has the versatility and power of facilitating similar research endeavors.
(B)but also have the versatility and power of facilitating
(C) but it also has the versatility and power to facilitate
(D)and also have the versatility and power of facilitating
(E)and it also has such versatility and power that it can facilitate
"B"....this is why I think B is correct....In the first part we are using will not only......to maintain || in the second part we should also say "but also will have the ability".....however, will from the 2nd part has been omitted to avoid redundancy. As u know will have is the correct usuage and not will has....hence B is the answer
yes B is it. usage in future tense therefore "have" and not "has"
will meet ----- have
Could you elaborate on this....I mean i see what u're saying [will = future tense therefore use have]. Is this some kind of rule? Any exceptions to the rule?
But subject = computer software [singular].
Therefore verb should be singular. Are you saying "have" is used as a singular verb here - As in "I have no car"??
I think it's most a case of the future tense requiring 'have' rather than the subject being singular or plural. Anyway, the sentnece discusses the uses of the software, and since it's not just one use, but many other uses as well, a plural verb isn't wrong.
