Answer is E.

Rule here is that an adjective modifies the noun that is closest to it. People are not counted in 'amounts'; A B C are out. D is out because 'larger' modifies 'people' instead of 'number'.

(E) is the answer. Like paddyboy said, larger seems to hint that people were bigger in this concert !
