A – “By an gentile couple” needs to be closer to “they were hidden”. Eliminate
B – Not parallel. Were hidden vs they were discovered. They has a ambiguous reference – family or couple? Eliminate
C – Not parallel.
D – Parallel. Clear. Keep
E – same as B
