Good one Hi mates, IMO B"and" makes two singular subjects one plurar subject, therefore "are" is needed. C out: sounds wordy E out: at the end of the sentence, "and" is needed because the sentence is stating qualities of both laws OA and Source? Cheers

I believe the answer is A on this one. Going against the tide...
There is a X and a Y that are Z.
The first "and" joins the two sentences each referred to singular: There is a X. There is a Y.
Second part after the that is: X and Y(referred collectively) are each valid.

but then you cant use "each"
