Hi I would like to ask what kind of tie I should wear for a white shirt to the interview. Does it has to be a red with gray stripes?Thanks

i think grey with red stripes is the norm ... the stripes should be equally spaced too, else may god have mercy on you.

thats crazy, i've never read anything that says you have to wear a certain color tie, just keep it muted and not flashy or anything and you will be fine as long as you match haha

actually, the tie needs to specifically be in the school's exact colors....if it is one shade off, you will be jeopardizing your interview

i believe hbs is burgandy and white.
tuck is green and white. i didn't apply to these schools so please don't take my word on the exact shades.

since we're on the topic, can you guys help me to match my boxers to my suit? i'm having so much trouble trying to find a pattern that perfectly matches my tie so i might just go commando. your thoughts?

If you go commando, you'll definitely want a winter weight fabric for your suit. You could freeze your nuts off! you do not even need to wear a tie - totally depends on who and where you have the meeting. but if you are going for business dress, just wear a conservative suit not necessarily certain colors.

This. You want to show them that THEY should need YOU, and not vice versa. If you wear a suit it will show that you want the job too much. I'd suggest coming in a TAD bit hungover (not too much though) to really show that you don't need the job too much. It's like getting girls, if you care TOO much then they won't even want you at all.

Of Course nobody wants to wear a tie, as someone says you don't even want to wear a suit to show you like the school so much, But is that true, I don't think you want to take the chance of not wearing a suit or tie.

Generally, these interviews are supposed to be casual at best. T-shirt is acceptable if it's warm, but, if it's cold, I suggest one of those Russian hats and snow pants. It shows you're adaptable, which is really the point of the interview process. Also, when in doubt, go with plaid.
