The electronics company has unveiled what it claims to be the world’s smallest network digital camcorder, the length of which is that of a handheld computer, and it weighs less than 11 ounces.

A. to be the world’s smallest network digital camcorder, the length of which is that of a handheld computer, and it weighs

Wrong : What does 'it' refers to here?

B. to be the smallest network digital camcorder in the world, which is as long as a handheld computer, weighing

This implies as if world is as long as ... : Wrong

C. is the smallest network digital camcorder in the world, which is as long as a handheld computer, and it weighs

Wrong... : Same reason as above..

D. is the world’s smallest network digital camcorder, which is as long as a handheld computer and weighs

This seems to be the best choice.
Amit Singh, Infinitves are used when the sentence implies order, proposal, hopes, desire.. Claim cannot be used as infinitive. There is no degree of uncertainty here. Also, the "what it claims is the ..." clearly refers to the camcorder hence 'is' here is not awkward.

E. is the world’s smallest network digital camcorder, the length of which is that of a handheld computer, weighing

This is an example of dangling modifier.. "weighing is awkward, isolated and incoorect"

I debated over B & D, finally picked D.......views????

What is the OA ..??

OA is B possibly WRONG

From which set is this question from ..?? Sets do have lot of in-correct Ans.. I guess they are the questions that are recalled by people who took exams and compiled them ...

i wanted to bring this one back up, as it seems there is an OA, but many of us, myself included, picked D.

I still dont get why B is correct. I refuse to believe it ! D sounds so much better

There is no doubt the OA=D on this one.
I know because I got this on GMATprep not long after this thread and I answered B and it was wrong.
It is D
