In fact, I took the original sentence from a science journal. It use "there is case WHERE" however, it may be inappropriate (?) as Stolyar suggests. So I change all "where" inot "in which" so that we will not get confused.
Ihope there is no mistake.

Our formal modeling of this issue utilizes the previous researches, mainly specialized to the case in which the production costs depend only on the total effort or attention the workers devote to all of his tasks.

researches, mainly specialized to the case in which the production costs depend only on the total effort or attention the workers devote to all of his tasks.

researches that were mainly specialized to the case in which the costs of production depend on only the total effort or attention the worker devote to all of his tasks.

researches that were mainly specialized to the case in which only the costs of production depend on the total effort or attention the worker devotes to all of his tasks.

COuld you tell me whether the structure:
we utilize his researches that are specialized to ST
we utilize his researches, specialized to ST

The first one is correct, but what about the second one?
Thank for your help

By the way, the original sentence is D. The C sound nice but the position of ONLY is wrong and this distorts the meaning of the original meaning.

C looks good. A and B have the problems in the above red marks. D and E lack that to conjugate the subordinate clause....
