IMO D.

A, B and C are incorrect because "information" is singular. So, "indicates" is correct usage here.
D is preferred over E because E uses progressive tense when a simple tense will work.

is there any difference between DATA and INFORMATION in terms of singular/plural?

once I saw an example in which verb used for DATA was plural!

You can immediately eliminate A, B, and C, because "The information" needs to be followed by the singular verb "indicates". E is incorrect because "times are laying ahead" is wrong - that implies that there are times physically laying in front of us. The correct idiom is "times lie ahead".
