Although the island is fairly secure, one should not attempt to explore it on one's own; the travel company will not be held responsible for injuries you incur outside the facilities provided for you.

a)
b) one should not attempt the exploring of it on one's own
c) you should not attempt to explore it on your own
d) you should not attempt exploring it on your own
e) you should not attempt the exploring of it on your own

Rule out A,B. Maintain the 'you' that continue thru the sentence.
