Hey everyone,

it's been a while since I posted outside of the Berkeley-Haas thread, but just wanted to share the joy (hope this is the right forum to post it, not sure after all the restructuring going on). As of last week, I signed with Zynga (Facebook/Social Games - e.g. Mafia Wars, Poker, Farmville) and ended my search for jobs (chose it over LucasArts). Now I can fully enjoy my final semester with no worries about a job or leadership positions (we transitioned all our stuff at the end of the year).

Anyway, from the looks of it, the job market is doing a lot better this year than the last for full time positions. I think almost half of my classmates have found at least one job offer and have signed, with many more companies coming on campus next semester for recruiting. Definitely better than the 60-70% full time offers last year at graduation.

Hopefully I'll be able to pop my head in here more often next year, and good luck to my fellow 2010'ers with the job search! Let me know if there's anything I can help you with (networking with west coast companies, tech industry, gaming, defense industry, etc...)

Cheers!
Kry

Congrats Kryzak.

Can your first thing be to make it so I have a global zygna switch on bookface so, knowing how much mafia wars and farmville updates annoy me, they don't tell me any?!

I jest (in part). Glad it seems things are getting better, and happy to hear you got exactly the type of thing I remember you were looking for as you applied to school.

Oh, I have blocked my budding Mafiosi and Farmer friends from updating me about their amazing achievements. I just wish I could block the next game you have in advance?!

congrats kryzak! i went to zynga's presentation on campus and was amazed how well they were doing.

it would be kind of neat to have a "where are they now" thread for the 2010 class here, just to see where everybody is headed. ill be taking a strategy role at korean conglomerate next year myself.

congrats Kry! Into the industry you want and with a growing company... watch out for the Chinese companies though, they are the current big boys in the social game space... and digital chocolate will be making a move into social games this year.

Wholehearted Congratulations.
A friend of mine graduated from HAAS last year and it was definitely tough. He finally settled with PWC in their new consulting arm.

Sounds like a great opportunity. Their games are simple but very addictive.
