For what concerns matriculation decisions, I am really in deep shit my friend :).

I would love to set up a class comprised of all the awesome GC folks that are matriculating/attending the schools I am in at.

Haha - but the good thing is that any school you pick will have some awesome folks from gclub. This year LBS has seen some fantastic representation (compared to last year). But Kellogg and Chicago have really cleaned up in terms of gclub representation.

In any case - best of luck. You deserve all these admits; the quality of your posts are ample proof about how capable and candidate you are.

Sorry to hear that buddy.
At least you have booth admit in your bag. :-D

I remember when I received WL from Tuck (which was my 1st choice), it felt as if the world was going against me.

For a very short period, I was determined to fight and camp on Tuck WL.

If I had to revisit the campus to prove my interest, I was willing to visit once every month and kiss every building, tree, professors, and anything that would help me.

If they ask me to sing, I was gonna ask, "as soprano or baritone?"

My point is that I was willing to try anything....until Yale showed me the money and my mind went blank.

If you want to pursue LBS WL, good luck. If not, good luck in Chicago or any other school you are waiting on.

Pick the school that you feel most comfortable with. Either school is a great choice!

Yup...that's the cunning plan right now :)
I have started getting a feel of things but one information that still eludes me is what kind of profile do these colleges want... I know that these colleges always look at the 'complete package' rather than just one aspect of it but somehow my gut feeling is that the decision criteria is generally based on your acads & recommendation....which is what discourages me from applying. Not that I have bad acads but was not a merit ranker or something nor I have a backing of some LBS or Harvard alumni. Do we have someone in this forum who's got an admit but doesn't agree to the same?

I think you underestimate the importance of your work experience and of your essays. Usually undergrad academics are too far away from now to be a useful indicator. So, universities use the GMAT score. The GMAT also helps as a standardized international benchmark. However, LBS tends to not bother too much about the GMAT and maintains one of the lower GMAT averages among other top MBA programs (somewhere in the 690s). I personally know someone with a 640 who got in. I believe this is primarily to help retain the diversity in work experience and backgrounds in the student body that LBS tries to promote.

Also recommendations are actually considered somewhat lower in importance than other criteria, simply becuase everyone has good recommendations - also it is extremely difficult to standardize the recommendations. While alumni recommendations may help, most of the admitted students do NOT have recommendations from alums.
