I will go for C. Couple of reasons

1. We are neither comparing aluminium with other metals nor with commodities. Al and other metal are examples of recycled commodities. So, 'Such as' is appropriate.

2. With this we are left out with C and D.

3. 'market....remains' seem right. examples...'housing market remains bullish' or 'software services market remains sluggish'.

So, C.

C looks good to me.

1) Such as to introduce examples.

2) Remains is singular to match market.
