Can anyone explain why B is correct answer. There is no relationship between "has been attacked" and "being revised".

Hi ranjeet75, Imo Let's restate B : The Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory, a test developed in the 1930s to assess character, attitudes, and behavior, has recently been attacked as dated and culturally biased and is finally being revised. The use of present perfect for has been attacked here is Correct :This is an action happened at an unspecified time before now regardind the sense of the phrase From the original sentence : The Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory, a test developed in the 1930s to assess character, attitudes, and behavior, is finally being revised, after many attacks recently as dated and culturally biased. is finally being revised is correct also because maybe the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory is currently under revision ( we don't know if this action happened and ended in the past or no )

The test could be changed because of the attack.

analogy :
for yrs,men were allowed to wear shorts during corporate meetings............recently, there was a hue n cry, office decorum was coming @ stake..............the HR is pouring in thoughts to curb this existing norm.
How do we rephrase in gmat terms :
1. the policy on men attire has been attacked recently
2. The policy on men attire is being revised
net : the policy has been attacked recently.....AND......(THUS) is being revised : parallelism also intact, however a thus would have been much better in conveying the cause effect relationship
my thoughts, leading to B
