They like to have sons and daughters from already well-established and famous families and as a result they sometimes produce a total failures and disgraces - g.w. bush for example - who suffocated the whole world by squandering billions of dollars, not to mention how many ppl lost their lives or became disabled. Well, Obama is also their alumni so they should compare the profiles of these two candidates and see the point I guess.

Ouch. Bush was class of '75 and I would like to think a lot has changed in the last 35 years. For the record, Obama went to Harvard Law, not HBS. While there will always be undeserving individuals that slip through the cracks, I would be shocked if the proportion was higher at HBS than other top institutions. Virtually all of the students here get in on the basis on merit and not lineage. That being said, for every deserving student that gets in, there's probably 2 or 3 deserving ones that don't. Such is the reality of the ultra-competitive MBA admissions process. Adcoms are mortals and when you're choosing between extremely qualified candidates, arbitrary measures will eventually enter into the picture. I don't believe, however, that it makes the admission criteria fundamentally misguided. spiridon wrote: Yeah it is a school with prolly the greatest reputation in the world but their admitting criteria is kinda doubtful.

Choose good school for kids it's not eassy.

Just had a look at the trailers on the website, and it looked awful. Basically a poorly attempted disguise for publicity; like "oh my God, I'm going to get COLD CALLED!!" like it was the worst thing ever. Or even worse: "I then realize that all these people are INCREDIBLE people". Geez, chill out. PS: I hate case based courses: you usually learn nothing or almost, and it's always a fight for air time.

I just got around to watching it on my DVR. I was pretty disappointed by it to be honest. It seemed like a PR piece rather an unbiased documentary. A lot of it seemed to focus on the idea that Harvard makes the people, not that the people make Harvard.

Does anyone know what the admission criteria is for all the Harvard schools? Which university is better? Yale, Stanford or Harvard? I am planning to enrol in one of these schools or any recommendations? P.S I am sixteen this year.

1) Is this available online? 2) How does a forum for the GMAT and MBA, turn into an incredibly biased political rant? I'm not sure everyone wants to hear about Bush and Obama and how dumb Bush is and how smart Obama is, as well as how each reflects on Harvard.

I saw it on the suggestions. Still, a year old or not, I'd be interested in seeing this if a video is available.

It's somewhere on Hulu. Do a search for it.

I watched it earlier this year and think it helped confirm my lack of interest in HBS. I know a few MBA's there currently who can likely provide really good reasons for why one should consider HBS. Even still, I'm like, "No thanks." BTW I don't care for the case study method too much either or cohorts for the matter. I guess I'll have slim pickings for top schools when I actually do apply.
