Vote C.
The question "like" vs "as". My pick is like.

I think it is D
I do not like 'will not only help' consequence of words
but prefer 'will help not only"
A is using as instead of like

what is OA?

B for me. I thot "Software" is plural. Shouldn't it be "do" instead of "does"?

Re: The new antivirus software, developed by a team of Indian [#permalink]
C it is

As is used to compare verbs whereas like is used to compare nouns. Antivirus software is a noun so that limits our choices to C and D.

To eliminate either C or D, we have to look at the correct use of the idiom, not only….but also and ensure it is in parallel form.

Inserting C into the stem, we have
The new antivirus software, developed by a team of Indian engineers and designed specifically for corporate networks, will not only help protect computers from infection, like all antivirus software does, but also (will) enable administrators to monitor any suspect activity of system resources
So the things compared here are will help vs. will enable.

Inserting D into the stem, we have
The new antivirus software, developed by a team of Indian engineers and designed specifically for corporate networks, will help not only protect computers from infection, like all antivirus software does, but also (will help protect) enable administrators to monitor any suspect activity of system resources.

So D is wrong.

I will go with C.

We are comparing the new antivirus software with others so it should be 'like' and not 'as'

like - is indeed used to compare nouns while As is used to compare Clauses.

Arent we comparing the actions here, rather than nouns...

B is my pick
