One side track question. I picked A for this but I still have one doubt about the used of "AS WELL AS". It took me awhile to decide between "AND" & "AS WELL AS". I knew GMAT prefer AND but i didn't see it on the right answer (in this context)..

So when should we choose "As well As"? If answer choice F give "AND" provided as another option, should we go to Choice F?
