dude chill...! and lol...

So the answer should be C.

questions says -> more body fat than do 85 percent of North American children their age
obese is calculated relatively
if there were 100 children, top 15 i.e who weight the more than the other 85 are called obese.
Now if this 15 has increased say to 45 then a simple math would reveal the total children (and also the non-obese children count have also increased!

Total * 15% = 45
Total =300
300-45 = 255
before 100-15 = 85
now 255

C says -> the number of North American children who are not obese increased over the past 15 years. - PERFECT MATCH.

Kudos?

Cheers

Basically obese kids have been places at 85th percentile. That is top 15% with body fat are called obese. Since the percentile is fixed and yet the number of obese is increasing. That means the overall population of set is increasing.
=> 85% will also increase correspondingly -which constitues non obese kids. Which is exactly explained in C.

Ans C it is.

If X is the population of North American Children.
15% of X are Obese as they have more body fat than those of 85% of X.
If 15% of X is increasing, X must be increasing. Thus, 85% of X will also increase.
C states the same.
