Of the given choice I agree with (A),

Still I have small doubt, in given choices (except B and E) what is "it" pointing to.

this is what some call an "empty it".

the empty "it" does not modify anything

The correct answer is A. 'On account of' is idiomatic in a sentence such as this one, and therefore D and E are incorrect. B and C both have the awkward being, and B also bears the unidiomatic because of.
A is clear and idiomatic.
