The Pearson VUE Computer CRASHED and LOST my GMAT test!!!

So I thought life couldn't get any worse... the man upstairs shows what new tricks he has up his sleeves. Here's my story:
My scheduled test date was today (as of writing), June 26, 2006. As luck would have it, five days ago, I got extremely ill and was relegated to the bed until Saturday, when I at least had the energy to get up. I take a few practice tests, score okay, but i attribute that to my sickness (670 range).
But my entire summer was planned around finishing the test today. I already took two days off from work as a "resting period", and had weddings to attend all throughout July. So sickness or no sickness, I had to do the test.
Test day:
Writing section. Completed. No sweat.
Analytical section. I'm about halfway finished, until I approach a question that stumps me for a minute, but I figure it out. I click on the answer and see the confirmation dialog box. I click "OK" and expect to move on.
I see the same screen again. So again, I click my answer, then click next, and see the same confirmation dialog box. I click "OK", and expect to move on.
Again, the screen doesn't change. This process continues one more time, until finally, I see the GSOD (GMAT Screen of Death): "Fatal Error, contact administrator". Thinking this was nothing big, I contact the proctor and let them work it out.
Five minutes later, after the proctor consults with a tech on the phone, who apparently fixed the problem, I'm escorted back to my seat, but notice that the clock had already started counting down (I lost approximately a minute). Peeved at this, I let the proctor know, but they seemed not to care. The same question was on the screen, so naturally, I clicked "Next". BAM. GSOD AGAIN!
Again, the proctor is on the phone with the tech. This time, the tech moves my test over to another terminal, thinking that it was a terminal malfunction. Ten minutes later, I am again escorted into the room, this time to a new terminal, where my trusty old question awaited me. Again, I lost another minute off the clock, which the proctor promised to credit me (how I don't know). I click on the answer, then click the next button. Can you guess what happened next?
Twenty minutes later, it is determined that my test is a goner. Just like that, my summer, ruined. All because of an unknown computer glitch. What are my reparations, you ask? I have no clue. I was told that I would be contacted shortly by GMAC.
WTF???!?? I know life's a *complain*, but shouldn't these things be ironed out by now? Has this happend to anybody else, or am I a lone wolf in this regard?
I'll keep ya'll posted regarding the outcome. Any suggestions?
