The people who are least likely to be audited by the Internal Revenue Service this year are those who have been audited since 1985 and who were found to have made no mistakes in filing their returns during that audit.

(B) A person who was audited in 1986 and whose lawyer corrected several mistakes in the tax return prior to the filing deadline.

D will be correct because if u read closely, each of the other statements do fall within ".....audited since 1985 and who were found to have made no mistakes in filing their returns ....."

D it is...
D falls outside the time, individuals were audited.
So, someone who was audited in 1984 has to be re-audited.

The person who is most likely to be audited would be someone who was last audited before 1985, and who made mistakes in their filing when audited. None of the choices fits that criteria, but D is the only choice that has someone who was audited before 1985.
