982. The rise in the price of crabmeat and an increase in demand has convinced some Floridians they should try to harvest and sell a species of large crab that lives deep in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Use of "and" indicates that we need to use the plural verb "have" instead of singular verb "has". E is obviously wrong, so the only answer left is D.

Ok let me take this opportunity:
1. There were two things which convinced a. rise in the price of crabmeat b. increase in demand. So we should use "have". --- A B and C are out--- Left with D and E.
2. In E "to try and harvest and sell" is incorrect. Floridians have to "try to harvests" not "try and harvest". So E is out. ------- Left with D.
