a. 1/sqrt3 , 4
b. 2, 3
c. 4, 4/9
d. 4, 1/9
e. Don't care. Need a beer!

Let a = sqrt(x) so we have
3a^2-4a-4 = 0

a = -2/3 and a = 2
so x = 4/9 and x = 4 are the roots.

Answer is C
