Sentence has subject-verb issue: the most effective is singular and requires “is”. – eliminate 3, 4, and 5

1. is checking on
2. is checking in on [Checking in changes the meaning – eliminate it]
3. are checking in on
4. are checking upon
5. are checking on

OA is A. when can we use "to check in on"?

this was clear A . CDE is out . B is ambiguous.
