The sum of the first 50 positive even integers is 2,550. What is the sum of even integers from 102 to 200 inclusive?

A. 5,100
B. 7,550
C. 10,100
D. 15,500
E. 20,100

102 + 104 + ... + 200
= (2 + 4 + ... + 50) + (100 + 100 + ... 50 times)
= 2550 + 50*100
= 2550 + 5000
= 7550

The sum of the first 50 positive even integers is 2,550. What is the sum of even integers from 102 to 200 inclusive?

number of terms = (200 -102)/2 + 1
Number of Terms between 102 & 200 = 50

Average (mean) = (200 + 102)/2 = 151

Sum = No. of terms * Average

Sum = 50 * 151 = 7,550

i wanted to bring this back up to the top , as i got this one wrong on my prep test.

Can anyone break this down and explain the concept and formulae involved ?
